ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

We live in a turbulent time with violence increasing every single day. It is Ignorance rather than malice that is the root cause for this increase in hate & violence. As our Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said, “Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which (religious) knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and general ignorance will spread, and there will be Al-Harj in abundance, and Al-Harj means killing.” [Bukhari]

Look at how our Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم has put it – Abundance in killing following the spread of ignorance following the vanishing of knowledge. So in order to fix the problem of hate & violence we need to go back to fixing the root cause which is lack of knowledge. Hence providing the right education to all without barrier is the only solution and that has been Madina Mercy’s mission.

At Madina, we do not stop at helping with basic education but we strive to help building leaders & scholars who can spread mercy & education for today, tomorrow & beyond. However, as you may already know, in the world we live in today, Education is expensive. We have tried our best to carry our mission for more than a decade and we need your help to continue our mission.

What better time than Ramadan to help with our education initiatives and what better way than giving your Zakat & Sadaqa for this cause during this blessed month?

This Ramadan, we are looking to raise $300k to sustain our educational projects across the globe. 

This will also serve as a Sadaqa Jariya for you. Like Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم said “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).”

Zakat & Sadaqa will be distributed accordingly.
